We are off the ground!

There's been some rain delay, and a huge amount more rock to cut than we thought - but, we finally have all bearers on and all the joists. Uncle Guy has been a great help. He's been coming faithfully every Thursday (plus an extra Tuesday this week) so things are really happening fast. He's also very helpful in answering all my questions of why. Why? Why?

Yesterday all of the room flooring was glued and nailed. At the end of the day, dad and I stood on the new floor looking out to water and sail boats. We both had a little dance.

Tomorrow, we have John from next door coming over to help draw up the base plate and stud positions for the framing.
